We are set up at 33/1 on J. L. Nehru Road. If you know the area, you know it gets very crowded with all the traffic and people moving about constantly. Our office is right in the middle of that buzz. We have been here for a good number of years now. Inside, it is much quieter than the street outside. We have our desks lined up and the shelves are filled with technical manuals and old project folders. It is a bit of a maze sometimes with all the stuff we have accumulated. We are an engineering firm, so there is always some sort of plan or diagram spread out on the tables. The lighting is okay, though we had to add a few extra lamps in the corner where the drafting happens. We don't really do the whole polished corporate look. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't affect the work we do. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working through calculations. We take turns making tea in the small pantry area we have. It is a very lived-in space. People come and go throughout the day, and we just keep things moving. Being on J. L. Nehru Road means we are easy to find, even if the building itself looks like any other on this stretch. We just focus on our tasks and go home.
