Pragati Engineers

Pragati Engineers is located on the third floor of 23 G C Avenue in Kolkata. G C Avenue is always teeming with life. There are yellow taxis everywhere and people rushing to catch buses. Our office is up a few flights of stairs in an older building. It has high ceilings and those big windows that let in the Kolkata humidity. We have been working from this 3rd-floor space for a long time. It’s a bit cluttered with papers, blueprints, and old files, but we know where everything is. We don't have a modern, sleek office design. It’s more of a functional space where we sit and figure out technical problems. The sounds of the street come up through the windows all day long. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall downstairs. It’s a very traditional way of working. We don't use much corporate talk. We just discuss the engineering details and get back to work. We don't have a fancy website with stock photos. We are just real people in a real office in the heart of the city. Being in West Bengal, we've seen the city change around us, but our little corner on G C Avenue stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, until it is time to head home through the crowd.
