Elmech Engineers

Elmech Engineers is based at 31/3 Kabiguru Sarani in Kolkata. We’ve been in this building for many years, and it’s become like a second home to most of us. The street outside is typical for Kolkata—busy, a bit narrow, and always full of life. We are tucked away in our space where we handle all the engineering work and drawings. It’s not a shiny new office building with glass walls. Instead, it’s an older place with a lot of character and maybe a few cracks in the plaster here and there. We have our drafting tables, our computers, and way too many pens scattered around. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, though we do have our moments when a deadline is approaching. We don’t go in for corporate slogans or mission statements. We just try to solve the problems that come our way and keep our clients satisfied. Lunch usually comes from one of the local vendors nearby, and we often sit together to eat and talk about things other than work. Being in Kolkata, you get used to the humidity and the sound of the city, and it just becomes part of the day. Our team is small, and everyone knows their role. We don't need a lot of supervision or big meetings to stay on track. We just do the work that needs doing, day in and day out, and we’re quite content with that way of operating. It’s honest work in a city we know by heart.
