Our office is located in Jindal Towers, which is at 21/1A/3 Darga Road. This is right in the middle of the Parkcircus area in Kolkata, so it is always loud outside with horns honking and people everywhere. Moni Shankar Dutta is the name associated with our operations here at Vinay Cements Ltd. Working in Kolkata 17 means you are always in the thick of things. We handle the administrative side of the cement business from this building. It involves a lot of phone calls to distributors and making sure the paperwork for the shipments is correct. The office itself is not anything special. It has desks, filing cabinets, and a lot of stacks of paper. We have a mix of staff here, some who have been with us for decades and some younger folks just starting out. We do not spend time on fancy marketing or trying to look bigger than we are. There is always construction happening somewhere in Kolkata, so we stay pretty busy. Getting to work through the Parkcircus traffic is the hardest part of the day for most of us. During lunch, we usually go to the small stalls nearby for tea. We just focus on the logistics and making sure the cement gets to where it needs to go. It is a straightforward business and we do not try to make it sound like anything else.
