You can find us over at 11/7 East Mall Road. It’s a fairly straightforward location and we’ve been here for a good amount of time. Working in the concrete industry means our days start pretty early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the batches ready. The office is right there by the site, so we can hear the machinery going all day long. It isn't the quietest place to work, but we like being close to where the actual production happens. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure the trucks are scheduled correctly. Mall Road can get a bit congested, so timing the deliveries is always a bit of a puzzle. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of layers; we’re just a practical team trying to keep the concrete moving. Some days the paperwork piles up on the desk, and other days we’re out in the yard checking the inventory. We don't go in for fancy talk or big presentations. If someone wants to know about our concrete, we just show them what we’ve got. It’s honest, heavy work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift. We’ve had the same crew for a while, and everyone knows their role. It’s not a complicated life, just keeping the quality steady and the orders filled. Sometimes we sit outside for a break when the weather is decent. That is how we operate daily.
