You can find us over at Arka Apartment, specifically Flat-S4 on the second floor. The address is 17/1, Sukanta Lane in the Santoshpur area of Kolkata. It's a residential-style setup for our Ambuja Cement Eastern Ltd work. It feels more like a home than a strict office, which is actually kind of nice. We have the usual stuff like a computer, a printer that jams occasionally, and plenty of files. Being in Santoshpur means we are tucked away from the main city chaos, but it’s still Kolkata, so there's always a bit of life on the lane. We handle our accounts and coordination from this flat. It’s small, but we make it work. Usually, there are only a few of us here at any given time. We drink a lot of tea and spend hours on the phone talking to sites and suppliers. We don't really have a big sign outside or anything to show off. Most people who come here already know us or have been told where the flat is. It’s a practical way to run things without the high costs of a downtown skyscraper. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying heavy ledgers, but we don’t mind. It’s just our daily routine. We’ve been in this apartment for a bit now, and the neighbors don't seem to mind the occasional visitor coming by for cement business.
