Ananta Cement & Allied Products (P) Ltd. has its main office over at 178, K. C. Ghosh Road in Kolkata. Even though our name mentions Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh, this spot in Kol 50 is where a lot of our administrative work happens. Kolkata is a busy place, and K. C. Ghosh Road is no different. We deal with cement and related products, which is a heavy business with a lot of moving parts and logistics. Our office is not much to look at, just a functional space where we handle orders and talk to our suppliers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through our ledgers. It gets a bit dusty with all the talk of cement, and the files are usually stacked high on the tables. We are just a group of people who know the trade well. There is not any fancy corporate culture here. We just come in, do our shifts, and try to make sure the deliveries are going where they should be. Being in this part of Kolkata for a while has made us familiar with the local transporters and other businesses. It is a straightforward operation. We do not have a big shiny showroom.
