Ventures Fashion

We've been running Ventures Fashion out of our spot in Kolkata for a while now. You can find us over at 164D Sec A in the Metropolitan Cooperative Housing Society, right in Kolkata 39. It is a busy area but we like it here. Mostly, we just focus on getting the clothes made and sent out. The workshop gets pretty crowded with fabrics and patterns everywhere, but that is how we work. Some days are faster than others depending on what orders came in that week. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that, just the workspace where the actual sewing and cutting happens. My brother and a few cousins help out with the inventory and packing. We usually start early in the morning when it's still a bit cool outside. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months here in West Bengal. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of fabric get a bit high. People around the society know us as the place that's always busy with machines running. It is just a regular local operation. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we're checking addresses for shipping. Most of our day is spent handling the materials and making sure the stitching is okay before things go into boxes. It's steady work and it keeps us occupied.
