Bajaj Exports

You can find us at 2 Lal Bazar Street, right in the heart of the business district. We are up on the third floor in Suite 306. The building has been around for a long time, and you can tell by the way the walls look and how the hallways are laid out. Bajaj Exports has been operating from this spot for years, dealing with all sorts of goods that need to be shipped out. It’s a bit of a maze getting up here sometimes, but we like the location because everything is close by. Our office is usually piled with samples and shipping documents. There’s always a ceiling fan humming overhead while we work. We aren't a corporate giant; we’re just a group of people making sure the export side of things runs as smoothly as it can. We spend a lot of time on the phone with customs people and transport companies. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the street outside flood a bit, which slows everything down, but we just wait it out and keep working. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if the paperwork feels never-ending. We take our tea breaks seriously and talk about things other than work just to clear our heads. It’s a busy life here in Kolkata, but we’ve found our rhythm over the years and we just keep moving forward. We don't have any fancy mission statements, we just try to get the containers filled and the bills of lading signed on time every week.
