Blue Bird Bags

Blue Bird Bags is tucked away at No. 29 Amartalla Street. If you know this area, you know it is one of the busiest places for trading in the city. The street is narrow and there are always people carrying boxes or pulling carts past our door. Inside our shop, it smells like leather and fabric. We have bags stacked up everywhere, from the floor to the ceiling. It is not very organized, to be honest. We have travel bags, backpacks, and small pouches all mixed together. My cousin and I usually sit near the front to talk to anyone who comes in. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. Most people find us because they were walking by or someone told them we have what they need. We spend our time checking the zippers and the stitching on the new batches that arrive. Sometimes the shop gets so full of stock that it’s hard to move around, but that’s just how business goes on Amartalla Street. We don't do any big advertising. We just open the shutters in the morning and start moving the inventory. It is a dusty job and the fans barely move the air, but we like the buzz of the market. We have been at this number 29 spot for a good while and plan to stay here for as long as people need sturdy bags for their travels.
