Vanmark Food Equipment is situated out in Rajarhat, specifically near the Chowmatha and the road leading to the SRCM bus stop. We are in the village area of Bhatenda. It is a bit of a drive from the center of Kolkata, but it gives us the room we need for the equipment. We deal with food processing machinery, which means big pieces of metal that take up a lot of floor space. Our workshop is usually full of tools, spare parts, and machines that are being worked on. It is a dusty environment and you can always hear the sound of welding or grinding going on. We are not a sales-heavy company with a lot of talk. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor looking at parts or fixing a motor that isn't running right. People come to us when they need a specific machine for their food production line. The Rajarhat area is growing very fast, but our spot still feels a bit quiet and rural. We have to manage the power cuts and the heat just like everyone else in West Bengal. It is practical work for people who enjoy fixing mechanical things. We do not use fancy words because the machines either work or they don’t. If a peeler or a washer has a problem, we just fix it. The team here is small and we all know how to handle the heavy gear. We just keep building and shipping from our spot.
