We are located at 192 C.R. Avenue in Kolkata, right near the Ram Mandir. This is a very old and incredibly busy part of the city. Our building has been here for ages, and it definitely looks its age. The stairs are a bit steep and the walls are very thick. We handle a lot of the local operations and logistics for the brand from this spot. It is always a bit humid inside the office, even with the ceiling fans going at full blast. We have got stacks of boxes and some old registers sitting in the corners. The traffic on C.R. Avenue is constant, so there is always a background roar of buses and the bells of the trams. We do not have a fancy entrance; it is just a simple door that leads into our workspace. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the tea seller who sits right outside the main gate. We spend our days checking supplies, managing the local staff, and making sure the paperwork for the food deliveries is in order. It is not a glamorous job, but it keeps us very busy. Sometimes the rain leaks in a bit near the window during the monsoon season, so we have to move the desks around to keep things dry. We just show up, do the shifts, and try to keep everything running.
