Upvan Collection

Upvan Collection is located at 46 Lake Avenue, which is a pretty nice spot if you like a bit of quiet. My family and I started this because we liked finding things that people would actually want in their homes. It's not a huge operation. Most days it’s just me and maybe one other person here sorting through the latest boxes that arrived. We get a lot of neighbors walking by and popping their heads in to see what’s new. Sometimes the place gets a bit cluttered because we don’t always have enough shelf space for everything. I try to keep it organized, but when a new shipment of clothes or fabrics comes in, things get messy fast. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most of the people who come here heard about us from a friend or just live nearby. It’s a lot of work choosing what to stock. I spend a lot of time looking at different patterns and materials. Not everything works out, but that’s just how it goes in this business. The light on Lake Avenue is really nice in the afternoons, and that’s usually when I get most of my sorting done. It’s just a small shop where we try to keep things simple. If you're looking for us, look for the little sign near the gate. It isn't always easy running a small business, but we like being here.
