Our office is on the first floor of 2, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, specifically in Room 19-B. It’s right in the middle of all the noise and traffic of the city. If you come up the stairs, you’ll find us surrounded by folders and shipping documents. Being in the export and import business means we are constantly dealing with paperwork and customs rules that seem to change every other week. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing out emails to people in different time zones, so someone is usually here early or staying late. The room isn't very large, so it can feel a bit cramped when all of us are in at the same time. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and sometimes we just watch the buses go by when we need a break from the screen. We don't use any fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still done with basic spreadsheets and notes pinned to the wall. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We’ve built up a lot of contacts over the years, mostly by just being reliable and answering our messages. There is always a stack of tea cups waiting to be washed in the corner sink. It’s just a typical busy office where we try to keep things moving across borders without any major glitches.
