Ahaat Furniture

Ahaat Furniture is located at 114F Topsia Road, right in the middle of all the noise and bustle. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the sound of saws and hammers before you even see the sign. We’ve got a workshop in the back and a small space up front where we keep some of the finished pieces. The air is almost always thick with the smell of sawdust and wood polish, which is something we’ve just grown to love over the years. We specialize in making furniture the old-fashioned way, using real wood that’s meant to last a lifetime. It isn’t like those flat-pack things you buy at the big stores that wobble after a few months. Our guys spend a lot of time on the details, even the parts you don’t see, like the underside of a table or the back of a cabinet. The shop is a bit cluttered because we always have three or four projects going at once. You might have to squeeze past a half-finished bed frame to see a sofa we just wrapped up. Topsia Road is a busy place, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a challenge with the traffic, but we make it work. We aren't interested in being the biggest furniture maker in the city. We just want to keep making solid pieces for people who appreciate something handmade. It’s hard, dusty work, but we take a lot of pride in what we do here.
