Gouravs Company Ltd.

Gouravs Company Ltd. is located out in Thakurpukur, specifically in the Kabardanga area. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the center of the city, but it is where we have set ourselves up. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside. We have got the usual desks, some old chairs that squeak a little when you move, and a few stacks of ledgers that have been sitting there for months. Being in Kabardanga means we deal with the local pace of things, which is sometimes fast and sometimes slow depending on the day. We get a lot of noise from the street outside, mostly from the buses and the local market crowd. We spend our hours doing the usual company tasks, keeping track of things and making sure the paperwork is sorted out. There is a small fan that wobbles a bit on the ceiling, but it keeps the air moving. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and someone is usually there at a desk to talk to you. The floor is that old-fashioned stone that stays relatively cool even when it is hot outside. We have a tea break every afternoon around four, which is when most of the actual talking happens. It is a simple way to spend the workday. We are just a local company doing our bit in this corner of Thakurpukur.
