Our place is at 81, Mistryghat, right across from the Mistryghat Kali Mandir. It’s in Monirampore, Barrackpore. Having the temple right there makes it easy for people to find us. Electronics And Engineering Services Pvt Ltd is what we call ourselves. It’s an old-fashioned sort of building. We do a lot of engineering service work here. It’s mostly technical stuff, looking at boards and fixing components. The river isn't too far away, so it stays a bit cooler here than in the center of town. We have a few benches set up for the technicians. It’s a busy little spot. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or advertisements. Most people hear about us through word of mouth around Barrackpore. The shop floor is usually covered in bits of wire and solder. We don't mind the clutter as long as the work gets finished. It’s a simple life here. We start early and stay until the tasks for the day are done. Some of us have been here since the beginning. We know the machines and we know the area. It’s just a regular service center for electronics. No corporate polish, just honest labor. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the work. If you come by, you’ll see we are just normal people doing a job. That’s all there is to it. We don't need anything more than that to keep us going.
