Our office is tucked away on the 3rd floor of 11 Clive Row, right in the middle of all the bustle. Room-5 is where we keep all the records and parts for the machinery we deal with. Tea Spares Enterprise Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this old building in Kolkata for quite some time now. The stairs are steep and the hallways are narrow, but it’s got a lot of history. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking through catalogs to find specific parts for tea estates and factories. It’s a niche business, and we know our way around the different types of hardware needed to keep a tea garden running. The desks are usually piled high with invoices and technical drawings. It’s not a shiny, modern workplace, but it’s functional and we know where everything is. Clive Row is a busy place with a lot of traffic and noise coming up from the street, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the orders. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big showroom. We just make sure the right spares get to the right people so their production doesn't stop. It takes a lot of patience to track down some of the older components, but we’ve been doing it long enough to have some good connections. It’s steady work that keeps us connected to the tea industry and the people who work in it.
