Tara Das Fashion House

Tara Das Fashion House is tucked away in Asha Bhawan. We’re in Flat B 2, which is part of the Mandir Bhawan area in Rajarhat. It’s not your typical shop on a main road. Since we’re in a flat, it feels more like a home-based business, even though we stay quite busy with orders. Being near Mandir Bhawan is the easiest way to tell people how to find us. The space inside Flat B 2 is filled with racks of clothes and piles of paperwork on the desks. Rajarhat has changed a lot with all the new buildings, but our little corner remains pretty quiet. We don't have a big showroom with mannequins in the window. Usually, it’s just us working on the latest designs or checking the inventory. The lighting isn't great, so we use a lot of desk lamps to see what we’re doing. We aren't some big corporate fashion brand. We’re just local people who like making clothes and running a small business. Sometimes the neighbors in Asha Bhawan complain if we have too many boxes in the hallway, so we try to keep things tidy. It’s a practical setup for us. We spend most of our time here, from early morning until the sun goes down. Tara Das Fashion House is just our way of making a living in Rajarhat. We don't do much promotion, we just let the work speak for itself.
