Swagata Kumar Ray Ray

Swagata Kumar Ray Ray operates out of this spot on Rashtraguru Avenue. It’s a bit of an old area in Kolkata, but it’s home for us. People around here know the 90 building well enough. There is always some noise from the street outside, and the humidity can get pretty bad in the summer months, but we just get on with things. It isn't a huge office or anything like that. Just some desks and a few of us working through the day. Sometimes the tea man comes by twice, sometimes he forgets. We don't have a big fancy sign out front, so you have to look for the number 90. It’s been a while since we moved in here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't really gotten around to it yet because there’s always something else to do. We usually start early before the traffic on Rashtraguru Avenue gets too heavy. By the time the afternoon rolls around, it’s quite a crawl out there. We just focus on the work on our desks and try to stay organized. It’s a simple setup, nothing like those big corporate towers you see in the newer parts of the city. We like it this way though, being part of a regular neighborhood where we know the people at the corner shops. It keeps things grounded. There isn't much more to say really, just a local place doing its bit every day.
