We've been at 159 Jessore Road for a while now. It's a busy spot in Dum Dum, right near Satgachi. We mostly handle trading stuff people need every day. My father started things here, and now we just keep it going. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where neighbors come by. Sometimes the traffic on Jessore Road makes it hard to get deliveries in on time, but we manage. We have a lot of different items stacked up. It’s a bit crowded inside, honestly. If you live around Shyam Nagar or South Dum Dum, you’ve probably walked past us a hundred times. We open early most mornings because the morning crowd is the busiest. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when it’s quiet. We don't really do much advertising. People just know we are here. The shop has changed a bit over the years, maybe a new coat of paint here and there, but the feeling stays the same. We know most of our regular customers by name. It’s just how things are in this part of town. If you need something for your house or a small project, we likely have it sitting on a shelf somewhere in the back. It might take a minute to find it, but we’ll get there. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just the physical shop. People call us or just drop in. The rainy season can be a mess with the puddles outside, but the shop stays dry. We keep the stock updated as much as we can. It’s hard work sometimes, but it’s what we do.
