Sanjoy Adhikari & Studio

Our studio is located right on Dumdum Road in the Chatakol area. It's a place where we spend most of our daylight hours, and often a good chunk of the evening too. Being at 223/B/16 means we are part of a busy neighborhood. There is always noise from the street, but you get used to it after a few days. We do all sorts of work here, mostly focused on the creative side of things. It’s a small space, filled with tools and whatever projects we happen to be finishing up at the moment. Some days are quieter than others, giving us time to clean up or look over old files. Then there are those days where everything happens at once and the desk is a total mess. We don't have a big corporate setup. It's just us doing the work that needs to be done. Sometimes we have people stop by to ask about what we do, and we just explain it simply. There's no script or sales pitch. If you walk past the Chatakol area, you'll probably see us inside. We’ve been at this for a bit now, and while the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, the work keeps coming in. We like being on Dumdum Road because it’s easy to find and it feels like a real part of the city. We just keep our heads down and try to do a decent job every single time.
