Sukamaljana

I’m Sukamaljana and my place is at 24/2/72B, Mandal Para Lane in Kolkata. If you know North Kolkata, you know the lanes are thin and the houses are old. My workspace is right in the middle of all that. It is not a modern office building with elevators. You have to walk through the lane to get to me. I have been here 700090 for quite a while now. I mostly work by myself or with a bit of help when things get really busy. I don’t like the way big companies talk, so I don't do that. I just tell people what I can do and what I can't. My desk is usually covered in papers and my tea cup is usually half full. It’s a bit of a lived-in space, but that is because I spend a lot of time here. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and even in this quiet lane, you can feel it. I handle the accounts, the chores, and the main work all at once. It can be a lot sometimes, but I enjoy the independence. I don't have a mission statement or a fancy logo. My name is the brand, and my word is what people rely on. I think that is more important than having a polished website or a big marketing budget. Just simple work for local people. It's nothing flashy, just how it is.
