Spectrum Institute Of Design

We are currently working out of two spots for the Spectrum Institute of Design. Our temporary place is at Sector D/7285 in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. It’s a busy area and we’re still getting settled into the rhythm there. Then we have our permanent address over in Kolkata at Be-38, Sector-I, Salt Lake Township. It’s a bit of a juggle being in two major cities, but that’s how things worked out for us. The New Delhi office in 110070 is where a lot of the current activity is happening. It’s a bit cramped with all the design supplies and students moving around. Over in Kolkata, things are a bit more established in the 700064 zip code. We spend a lot of time on trains or planes moving between the two. Both places have their own feel. Vasant Kunj is fast and a bit chaotic, while Salt Lake feels a bit more structured. We aren't a big corporate chain. We’re just a design school trying to keep things running in two different places. Sometimes we lose track of which file is where, but we get it sorted eventually. Our desks are always covered in fabric scraps, sketches, and half-finished models. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly, but it’s a creative mess. We just focus on teaching and designing, wherever we happen to be sitting that day. It keeps life interesting for everyone involved in the school.
