You can find us on the sixth floor of this old building on Metcalfe Street. Suite No. 6 G is where we spend our days. It’s right in the middle of a very busy part of the city, so there’s always noise coming up from the street. The lift in this building is a bit slow and temperamental, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying anything heavy. Our office is a bit crowded with samples and paperwork. We deal with international trade, so there are always boxes waiting to be sent out or documents that need to be stamped. It feels a bit like a maze inside with all the shelves. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy to worry about that. The light coming through the windows is actually pretty good in the afternoons. We have a few people working the phones and others handling the packing. It’s a small operation, really. We know our neighbors in the other suites, and we often run into them in the hallway. Working in a place like Metcalfe Street means you get used to the chaos outside. We just focus on our orders and making sure everything is labeled correctly. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with shipping companies and suppliers. Nothing fancy, just a group of people trying to keep things running smoothly from a 6th-floor office.
