You can find us at 206/B in the Railway Officer’S Colony, right near Kaiser Street in Sealdah. Being so close to the station means there is always the sound of trains and the general buzz of Kolkata right outside our windows. It’s a bit of an older building, but it has a lot of character. We spend our days here teaching and helping students get a handle on different technical skills. It’s not a polished university campus. It’s more like a place where you come to actually learn how things work. We have computers set up and rows of chairs, and it can get pretty crowded during the peak hours. Sometimes the fans don't quite keep up with the heat, but nobody seems to mind too much once they get into their work. We don’t have a big administration department or anything like that. It’s mostly just the instructors and the people coming in to learn. We try to keep things practical. There’s no use in talking about theories if you can’t do the task. We see people from all walks of life coming through our doors, all of them just trying to better themselves. We just provide the space and the equipment to make that happen. It’s a bit loud and messy sometimes, but that’s just the reality of a busy center in Sealdah.
