Our place is at 52, Vivekananda Road, which is a very busy part of Kolkata. The 700056 area is always buzzing with energy. The building itself has been around for a while, and it has that classic look you see in older parts of the city. We have several rooms where the daily work happens. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll ever see, but it works for us and the people who visit. There is a lot of history in these walls, or at least it feels that way when you’re walking through the corridors. Vivekananda Road is almost always jammed with traffic, so we hear the honking all day long. Inside, though, we try to keep things as orderly as we can. It’s a busy environment with people constantly moving from one room to another. We don’t really go in for much decoration. We have our equipment and our files, and that is about it. It is a place for serious work, even if the atmosphere is quite informal among the staff. We know the local shopkeepers and the tea sellers nearby. It’s a tight-knit spot despite being on such a major thoroughfare. People come here knowing they’ll find a dedicated group of individuals. We don’t make big promises; we just show up and do what needs to be done. It’s been our base for a long time, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street.
