Sky Mobiles Pvt. Ltd. sits over on Satish Mukherjee Road, near the Rifle Range area. It is a busy spot, and we get people coming in all day with cracked screens or phones that just won't turn on. The shop is usually a bit cluttered with tiny screwdrivers, spare parts, and boxes of new chargers. We spend a lot of time under bright lights looking at motherboards and small chips. It can be a bit tedious, and sometimes a repair takes much longer than we thought it would. We have a few counters where we talk to customers about what is wrong with their gadgets. It is not a big, shiny corporate store. We have posters on the walls that have been there for years and a floor that needs a good sweeping by midday. Sometimes we have to tell people their phone is beyond saving, which is never a fun conversation. We also sell a few new models, but mostly we are known for the repair side of things. The neighborhood is lively, so there is always someone popping in just to ask for directions or to see if we have a specific cable. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just rely on the fact that everyone has a phone and those phones eventually break. We stay open late most nights because that is when people finish work and finally have time to drop off their devices for fixing.
