We have been in Kolkata for quite some time now. The office is usually full of files and old calculators. It’s not the most modern place, but we get the work done. Most of the folks who work here live nearby. We handle a lot of tax returns and standard accounting stuff for people in the neighborhood. Some days are slow, especially during the monsoon when the rain makes it hard to get to the office on time. We usually just have tea and go through the ledgers. There isn't a big marketing team or anyone fancy. It's just us. People know where to find us in West Bengal. We try to keep things straightforward and don't use much tech if we can help it, though the computers are necessary now. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we manage. If you need someone to look at your books, we are here. Most of our clients have been coming to us for years. It's a small setup. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist who gives you coffee in a fancy cup. It's just a regular desk and a chair. We spend a lot of time checking numbers twice because mistakes are a pain to fix later. That's about it for us here at Singhi & Co. We just keep our heads down and work.
