Shree Gouri Shankar Rice Mills

Shree Gouri Shankar Rice Mills has been operating out of 58 B near Hajra Mod for quite some time now. Being located in Kalighat means there is always something going on outside our doors, but inside, we just focus on the rice. The mill is a busy place, especially when the new harvests come in and the machines are running all day long. It gets pretty loud and dusty, but that is just how a rice mill works. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. They know the machines better than anyone else does. Most of the time, we are just busy moving bags around and making sure the quality is what it should be. The address is easy to find if you know where the mod is. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to see what is happening or to ask about the current stock. We don't really do much advertising because everyone around here already knows where we are. It is a simple operation, really. We take the raw grain, process it, and get it ready for the local markets. There is no fancy office or anything like that, just the mill floor and the storage area. We try to keep things organized, though it can get a bit chaotic during the peak season. That is just life in the rice business, especially in a busy part of town like this.
