Shilpom (Gramin)

Shilpom (Gramin) is located at 22/1, Brojomony Debya Road. It is a bit of a quiet area, which we like. The building is older and has seen a lot of history. Inside, we have our workspace set up with big tables and lots of tools. It is not a place for visitors to come and see a polished display. It is a place where we actually do the labor. We have a lot of items stacked in the corners and on the shelves. There is dust on the windows, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that. We have a small group of people working here. Most of us live nearby, so we just walk to work. We talk about the local market prices and the rain while we work. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. We don't have a big mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just want to make things and earn a living. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we just sit and wait or work by the light from the door. It is just life on Brojomony Debya Road. We have been here for many years, and we have a routine that works. There is a large tree outside the main door where we sometimes sit during our lunch break. It's a steady, quiet existence at Shilpom (Gramin). We just keep moving forward.
