We have been running things from 15A Hare Street for quite a while now. It is right there near the Calcutta GPO, which means the area is always crowded with people moving back and forth. Our office isn't one of those modern glass buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. It is a more traditional setup with heavy wooden desks and stacks of files that seem to grow every week. We handle a lot of agency work for various clients. Most days, it is just us answering the phones and filling out forms. The street outside is noisy with the sound of yellow taxis honking, but inside we just focus on getting the work done. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a handful of us who know how the systems work here. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out or work by the window light. People come in to drop off papers or just to check on their orders. We know the tea stall guy around the corner by name, and he brings us chai twice a day. It is a simple way of doing business, but it has worked for us over the years. We keep our records mostly in big ledgers and on one or two older computers. It is not fancy, but we know where everything is located.
