Our office is at 1 A Vensittart Row. It’s one of those spots in the city that feels like it’s been there forever. The building has that old-fashioned feel, which we actually quite like. At Saraf Impex, we don’t really go for the modern, sleek look. Our rooms are filled with old wooden desks and stacks of ledgers. We do a lot of importing and exporting, mostly focusing on the practical side of getting things from one place to another. It’s not always easy, and there are days when the logistics don't want to cooperate. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy slogans. It’s just us handling the day-to-day business. The street outside, Vensittart Row, is narrow and can get quite jammed with cars. We usually hear the honking all afternoon. Our staff is a small group, and we mostly just talk to each other about the work that needs to be finished by five o'clock. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the customs rules. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. We don’t claim to be the biggest or anything like that. We just work here and try to do a decent job for the people we deal with. It’s a steady rhythm and it keeps us busy.
