Sanghamitra Parai

My place is situated at 44B, Simla Road, which is right in the Manicktala neighborhood. Most people around here know the landmark near the CPM party office or the Vinayak Tower building. I am Sanghamitra Parai and I have lived in this part of Kolkata for most of my life. This business isn't something I planned to be a huge thing. It is just a local spot where I can work and help people out. Lala Bagan is a busy little pocket of the city. You have the constant sound of rickshaws and people talking in the lanes. My office is tucked away, so it stays a bit quieter once you step inside. I didn't want a place that felt cold or too professional. I kept the old furniture and just made sure there was enough light to see clearly. If you are coming from the main road, you just have to follow the signs for Vinayak Tower and you will find us. I don't spend any money on big advertisements. Usually, someone’s aunt or neighbor tells them about me, and that is how new people show up. I prefer it that way because it keeps things friendly. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the daily news while we handle the tasks at hand. It is a very simple way of living and working, but it suits me just fine.
