S M Exim

S M Exim is based at Mishra House, number 38 Motilal Nehru Road. It’s a nice old building and we’ve been working out of here for a good few years now. The neighborhood is lively, which makes the days go by a bit faster. Our work is mainly focused on the import and export of goods. It’s a lot of coordinating between different people and making sure the documents are all in order. We are a small operation, so we don't have any big departments or fancy office rules. We just come in, have some tea, and start on the day’s tasks. Sometimes the work is a bit repetitive, like when we have to check hundreds of lines on an invoice, but it’s important to get it right. We don't have a big mission statement or any of those things you see in corporate brochures. We just want to get the shipments delivered on time so everyone is happy. Sometimes things get delayed because of the weather or some other problem, and we just have to deal with it as best as we can. We value the people we work with and many of them have become friends over the years. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we are quite content with how things are. Motilal Nehru Road is a good place to be.
