S F Engineering Works

S F Engineering Works has its home in Kolkata, specifically at 7B, Balaram Bose Ghat Road. This part of the city is old and full of history, which you can really feel when you walk down the street toward the river. Our workshop and office are right there in the thick of it. It’s a busy area with a lot of narrow lanes and people moving about constantly. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a long time, and the building itself has seen better days, but it serves us well. The air usually smells like grease and metal, which I guess is what you’d expect from a place like ours. We don't have a fancy showroom or a shiny reception desk. Instead, you’ll find piles of metal parts, tools scattered on workbenches, and a lot of noise when the machines are running. It’s a hands-on environment where we spend most of our time getting our hands dirty and fixing things. We know most of the other shop owners on Balaram Bose Ghat Road, and there’s a good sense of community among the local businesses. If you come to see us, you’ll likely find us in the middle of a job, probably wearing overalls that have seen a lot of use. We take our work seriously, even if the place looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. It’s just how we operate day to day, focused on the metal and the machines.
