Our office is tucked away on Gardner Lane, right in the Entally area of Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city, so it has that specific feel to it that you don't find in the newer developments. Royal Consultants Pvt Ltd has been operating out of this spot for some time now. Inside, it is mostly just desks, files, and people talking on phones throughout the day. We deal with a lot of paperwork and talking to different clients every single morning. The old ceiling fan hums in the background while we sort through the latest records. It is definitely not one of those modern glass buildings you see in Salt Lake. It’s more traditional and a bit cramped. Sometimes the heavy rain makes the lane outside a bit muddy and difficult to navigate, but that’s just life in Kolkata for you. We drink a lot of tea while working through the long afternoons. Usually, someone is running out to the post office in Entally to send off some documents before they close. We don't spend any time on fancy decorations or big corporate speeches. The focus is just getting the consulting work done so we can all head home on time. There is a lot of noise from the street sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. If you’re looking for us, look for the small sign near the lane entrance. Most of us have worked together for ages, so it feels quite familiar.
