Our office is over on Syed Amir Ali Avenue in the Beckbagan area of Kolkata. It’s a busy part of town, so there’s always a lot going on outside our windows. We do advisory work here, which basically means we talk to people about their business problems or their plans. We’ve been at this for a while. The building we’re in is older, but it serves us well. We aren't the type to wear expensive suits every day unless there's a really big meeting. Usually, it's just us sitting around a table with some tea, looking at files. Kolkata is a city where relationships matter, so we spend a lot of time just chatting with clients and hearing what’s going on with them. Sometimes the advice we give is simple, other times it’s a bit more complicated depending on the situation. We don't try to make things sound harder than they are. If there's a way to fix something, we say it. If we don't know something, we'll look it up. We have a small team here and everyone knows their role. It’s a bit crowded in the office sometimes because of all the folders and papers everywhere. But we know where everything is. It’s a practical way of working and it seems to suit the folks who come to see us. We're just here on Syed Amir Ali Avenue.
