R.K.Tibrewal & Associates is tucked away at 2/1 Brajodulal Street in the Halwasiya Chhatra Niwas building. It is a bit of an old-school spot here in Kolkata 700006. We are not a big corporate firm with glass walls. Our office feels more like a part of the neighborhood. We spend our days dealing with balance sheets and tax forms. The street outside can be quite narrow and busy, which is just part of the charm of this area. Inside, the walls are lined with binders and old records. We do a lot of auditing and tax consulting for various people and businesses. It gets a bit hectic around March and July when everyone is rushing to get their taxes done. We do not use much fancy technology other than what is necessary for filing. Usually, there is a lot of paper on the desks. We sit here and talk through things with our clients. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific document in the stacks. It is a very hands-on kind of place. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the work we do. Most people find us because they live or work nearby. It is a plain, honest workspace where the focus is on the math and the laws. That is how we have always operated here on Brajodulal Street. It is just a regular office where we do our best with the numbers.
