If you find yourself on Gour Laha Street, look for number 21 and head up to the first floor. Ritika Fashions Kolkata is right there, just across from the Jorabagan Shanni Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple throughout the day, which is quite nice actually. Being near the Jorabagan Power House means most people know exactly where we are without needing a map. The office isn't very large, and it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of fabric lying around. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time. We spend our hours cutting, measuring, and talking to the people who walk in. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially if you have bad knees, but we don't mind it. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache for everyone. We usually just take the bus or walk from the main road. The light on the first floor is good in the mornings, which helps with the detailed work. It’s just a regular place where we try to get things right. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the workspace where everything actually happens and where we spend most of our waking hours. It is home to us and we like the local feel of the area.
