We are located down in Batanagar, in the 24 Parganas South area. The full address is Mehamanpur, Sukanta Pally, near the Vivekananda Pally post office. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you’re coming from the center of Kolkata, but this is where we’ve set up Regional Engineers Assciated (P )Ltd. The area has that old-school Bengal feel, with narrow lanes and a lot of greenery around the houses. Our office is a practical space, filled with blueprints, old folders, and some engineering tools scattered on the desks. It isn't a modern glass building; it’s more of a local spot that fits in with the neighborhood. The morning starts with the sound of the local rickshaws and people heading to the market. We spend most of the day looking over project details or talking to clients on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows and wait for it to come back. It’s a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to filing the tax papers. We’ve been in this Sukanta Pally spot for a while, and the people around here know us as the engineering folks. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s steady work and we like being part of the Batanagar community. We just keep doing our bit every day without too much fuss or noise.
