Global Engineering

Global Engineering is located in Paschim Kalibari, which is over in the Boala area of Garia. Our workshop is a plain space where we spend our days working with metal and machines. It’s not a fancy engineering firm with glass walls. It’s a place where there’s grease on the tools and sawdust on the floor. We handle all sorts of mechanical tasks and repairs. Most of the day is spent measuring, drilling, or welding parts together. Garia is a busy part of the city, so there’s always people moving around outside. We’ve been at this address for a long time and the neighbors are used to the noise we make. It gets pretty loud when the heavy equipment is running. We don't really do any big marketing. People just know we are here in Paschim Kalibari when they need something made or fixed. The shop can get quite hot, especially in the middle of summer, but we just keep the doors open for a breeze. We have a small crew and we all know our roles. There’s no corporate hierarchy here. We just look at the job that needs doing and figure out the best way to get it done with the tools we have. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We value the fact that we can do this work with our own hands every single day. We might be a bit small compared to others but we keep our promises and work hard to finish the work for anyone who walks through the door.
