Shristi Ex-im

Shristi Ex-im is tucked away at 7/1- D Mahendra Nath Sen Lane, right over in Regent Park. It’s a quiet enough area most mornings until we start getting things ready for the day. We handle export and import tasks from this little office, which means there’s always a pile of documents on someone’s desk or a call being made to check on a shipment. It’s not always smooth sailing, sometimes things get stuck or papers go missing for a minute, but we manage. We aren’t a giant corporation with hundreds of employees, just a handful of us working together. The space is a bit cramped with all the files, but it feels like home after you’ve been here long enough. We do a lot of back-and-forth communication, which is basically the core of what happens here. The neighbors know us, and we try to keep things respectful. It’s just a job, really, making sure goods move from one place to another without too many headaches. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decor because that’s not what we’re about. We just want to get the work done and head home at the end of the day. Every week brings something different, maybe a new type of product or a different destination to worry about. We just take it as it comes at our Regent Park spot.
