Rare Engineering

Rare Engineering is located at 161/1K, Dr. G. S. Bose Road in Kolkata. If you know this part of the city, you know it is a place where things are always being built or fixed. Our shop is right on the road, so we get a lot of noise from the trucks and buses passing by. Inside, the air smells like cut metal and welding smoke. We have a few heavy machines bolted to the floor and a big workbench where we keep our tools. It is a dusty, busy place. We do not have an office with air conditioning; we just use the ceiling fans to keep the air moving. Our staff usually has grease on their clothes and dirt under their fingernails because that is the nature of engineering work. We spend our days looking at blueprints and measuring parts. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job, and we just keep the lights on and keep working. The building at 161/1K is an old one, with thick walls and high ceilings. We do not have a fancy website or a sales team. People usually come to us because they saw our sign on Dr. G. S. Bose Road or heard about us from someone else in the trade. It is a very straightforward way of doing business. We just take the orders, do the work, and make sure the parts are ready when they need to be.
