Rajendra K. Daftary

Up here on the first floor of 46 Ezra Street, things stay pretty busy most of the time. Rajendra K. Daftary is the name on the door, but it is a small team of us handling the daily tasks. If you know this part of the city, you know Ezra Street is never quiet. There is always noise coming up from the pavement and people shouting. We have been in this specific building for quite some time now. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, but we are used to them by now. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the week. It is not a polished corporate place with glass walls or anything like that. Just desks, old papers, and the phone ringing. We try to stay organized, though some days are messier than others when a lot of orders come in at once. We do not really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they have heard the name Rajendra K. Daftary before or they just walk in from the street. The light in the office is okay in the morning, then we turn on the old overheads when it gets dim. We have got a small kettle for tea which gets a lot of use every afternoon. It is a practical way to run a business. No frills. We just focus on what needs to be done before the sun goes down. It is a solid place to work and we know the other shop owners around here pretty well.
