Our place is right on the ground floor at 22 Strand Road. It’s an old building, but being on the street level makes it easy for people to drop by. Strand Road is always humming with activity, especially with all the transport and trade going on. We specialize in stainless steel engineering work. The shop floor is right behind the small office area. We have some heavy machinery for cutting and shaping the steel. It can get pretty noisy when we are in the middle of a big job. The dust from the grinding is something we just live with. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and we know most of the people on this stretch of the road. Sometimes the rain causes a bit of trouble with the street flooding, but we’ve learned how to deal with it. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just us, some tools, and the metal. Most of our customers are from the local area, though some come from further away if they need something specific. We spend a lot of time measuring and checking the specs on the blueprints. It’s important to get the dimensions right before we start cutting. We usually have a pot of tea going in the corner for whoever stops in. It’s a plain, hardworking environment where we focus on getting the orders finished on time. We just keep doing the same work year after year.
