Our spot in Salt Lake City is over in FE block, number 487. If you know Kolkata, you know this part of the city is a bit more planned out than the rest, but it still has its quirks. The office is basically a house that we converted so we could have enough room for everyone to sit. It’s a quiet street for the most part, except when the school nearby lets out and the rickshaws start crowding the lane. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and a lot of cabinets. We don’t really do much in terms of decor. There are some old calendars on the walls and a stack of newspapers in the corner. The humidity in Sector 1 can be something else, so we keep the windows shut and the fans going all day long. Lunch is usually a big deal for the staff here, and we often sit together to eat whatever we brought from home. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest office in West Bengal. We just have a lot of work to do and we try to stay organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait around, but that gives us a chance to talk. It’s a simple setup for a group of people just trying to do their jobs and get home on time. It works for us.
