Prapti Fashions Pvt Ltd is situated over at 19 Canal South Road on the 4th floor of IV D. The area around Canal South Road has its own specific feel and we have been part of it for a good while. Working on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the surroundings though we are usually too busy to look out the window. The space is filled with tables and shelves where we keep all the garments and materials. It gets quite warm in the summer months so the fans are always running at full speed. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby because we don't really need one. People who need to find us usually know the way up. We spend our time checking the quality of the things we make and making sure everything is packed correctly. It is a lot of hands-on stuff. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due but we don't mind it too much. We are just regular people who know a thing or two about the fashion trade. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or using big slogans. We just want to finish the tasks we have and make sure the business stays steady. It is a lot of repetitive work but it feels good to see the results at the end of the week. We just keep our heads down and get on with the job. That is how we have always done things.
