Posh Parban(Food Stall)

If you find yourself on Kullimuddin Sarkar Lane, you might see our food stall, Posh Parban. It’s a small setup, nothing fancy at all. We just have a couple of burners and some tables. We cook the kind of food we like to eat at home. It’s mostly simple meals for people who are working nearby and need a quick bite. We start early in the morning to get the prep done. Chopping vegetables and getting the spices ready takes a lot of time. The lane is narrow, so it gets pretty tight when people stand around to eat. We don't have a big menu. We just make a few things and try to do them right. Sometimes we run out of food before the day is over. It’s just me and one other person helping out. We wash the dishes in a small sink at the back. It gets hot standing over the stove all day, especially in the summer. We see a lot of regular customers who come every single day. We know what they like to order without them even saying it. It’s a lot of hard work on your feet, but we enjoy talking to the people who stop by. We don't have any dreams of being a big restaurant. This stall is enough for us and it keeps the neighborhood fed. It’s just honest cooking for regular people on this little lane.
