Poltu Garments

We have been running Poltu Garments for quite some time now right here on the ground floor of Naya Patty Main Road. If you walk down through Krishnapur, you can’t really miss us because we are always around during the day. It is just a small shop where we keep ourselves busy with clothes and dealing with customers coming in and out from the street. The area gets pretty crowded, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping or just walking home, but we like the noise. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty being so close to the main road, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We spend most of our mornings unpacking things and making sure everything looks alright on the racks. It is not a fancy place with big lights or anything, just a regular spot where we do our work. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets too busy for one person to handle. We have piles of shirts and trousers everywhere, and sometimes the boxes take up too much space on the floor. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat even if they aren't buying anything today. We keep the fans running all day because it gets really hot in the afternoons. It’s a simple life here in Krishnapur, just selling garments and watching the traffic go by outside our door. We try to keep things organized but it usually gets messy again by noon. Actually, we spend a lot of time just moving piles around.
